Emergency First Aid at Work (EFAW)

Course Overview
This new 1 day course allows attendees to act as workplace first aiders in regulatory terms. It is appropriate where the risk assessment determines that a full First Aid at Work award may not be necessary. No previous first aid experience is required to attend this course. Schools are generally regarded as low risk environments in first aid terms, and this award is therefore appropriate in most instances. The national trend is likely to be for schools to move to a combination of this award and Paediatric First Aid, rather than the full First Aid at Work Certificate.
